Connection<\/h3>\n

\n

I feel its heart<\/p>\n

a living creature<\/p>\n

mapped in my hands<\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

\n

I move through it as a blood cell<\/p>\n

it carries me<\/p>\n

down through its major arteries<\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

\n

I squeeze through a back street
\ncapillary<\/p>\n

inching along a dusty dirt road<\/p>\n

in search of a feeling <\/span><\/p>\n

of connection<\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

\n

these veins<\/p>\n

sprung of <\/span><\/p>\n

our body earth<\/p>\n

earth that grew us<\/p>\n

earth that formed our mind<\/p>\n

the earth which we are bound to<\/p>\n

as its workers<\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

\n

and in our dreams<\/p>\n

our earth voice <\/span><\/p>\n

we hear <\/span><\/p>\n

telling us of our connection<\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\nbut we awaken and<\/p>\n

only a dim distorted shadow of the voice remains<\/p>\n

behind the chatter<\/p>\n

\n

\na yearning<\/p>\n

to be connected<\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

\n

we construct our black veins stretching across our body <\/span><\/p>\n

at all cost<\/p>\n

to the next town<\/p>\n

to the neighboring countries <\/span><\/p>\n

to the amusement park<\/p>\n

to the forrest<\/p>\n

the city<\/p>\n

over the ocean and to the mall<\/p>\n

and anywhere else we can<\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

\n

such that we might find our connection<\/p>\n

and realize what our voice is speaking of<\/p>\n
